General Questions

Q: What is HealthAI+?

A: HealthAI+ is a privacy-first health tracking app that uses Apple Intelligence™ and HealthKit® to provide personalized health insights. All AI processing happens on your device—your data never leaves your iPhone® or iPad®.

Q: What devices are supported?

A: HealthAI+ requires iOS 17.6+ or iPadOS 17.6+ (minimum). For full Apple Intelligence™ features, iOS 26.0+ or iPadOS 26.0+ and a device with A17 Pro chip or newer is required. Older devices can still use the app with Groq AI for AI-powered insights.

Q: Is my health data private?

A: Yes! On supported devices (iOS 26.0+ with A17 Pro+), all AI processing happens on-device using Apple Intelligence™—your data never leaves your device. On older devices, the app uses Groq AI for AI analysis, but your data is processed securely and never stored or used for tracking.

HealthKit Integration

Q: How do I connect HealthKit?

A: When you first launch HealthAI+, you'll be prompted to grant HealthKit permissions. You can choose which types of health data to share with the app. You can change these permissions anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → HealthAI+.

Q: What health data does HealthAI+ read?

A: HealthAI+ can read workouts, steps, distance, active calories, heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep, body measurements (weight, height, BMI), and other health metrics you choose to share. The app only reads data—it never writes to HealthKit without your explicit permission.

Q: Why isn't my health data showing up?

A: Make sure you've granted HealthKit permissions in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → HealthAI+. Also ensure you have health data in the Health app. HealthAI+ can only display data that exists in HealthKit.

AI Features

Q: Why aren't AI features working?

A: Apple Intelligence™ requires iOS 26.0+ or iPadOS 26.0+ and a device with A17 Pro chip or newer. On older devices, the app automatically uses Groq AI for AI-powered insights. Please check your device compatibility and iOS version.

Q: How does on-device AI work?

A: On supported devices (iOS 26.0+ with A17 Pro+), all AI processing using Apple Intelligence™ happens locally on your device using the Foundation Models Framework. No data is sent to external servers—everything is processed privately on your iPhone® or iPad®. On older devices, Groq AI is used for secure AI processing—your data is not stored or tracked.

Q: What's the difference between Apple Intelligence and Groq AI?

A: Apple Intelligence™ provides 100% on-device processing—your data never leaves your device. Groq AI is used on older devices that don't support Apple Intelligence. With Groq AI, your health data is processed securely to generate insights but is never stored, tracked, or shared with third parties.

App Features

Q: How do I set my fitness goals?

A: During onboarding, you'll be asked to set your fitness goals. You can update these anytime by going to Settings within the app.

Q: How often are insights updated?

A: Insights are generated in real-time when you view your dashboard. You can also manually refresh by pulling down on the dashboard. The app automatically refreshes every 30 minutes when active.

Q: Can I export my health data?

A: Your health data is stored in Apple's Health app and can be exported from there. HealthAI+ does not store data separately—it only reads from HealthKit for analysis.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

App Won't Launch

  1. Make sure your device is running iOS 17.6+ or iPadOS 17.6+ (minimum requirement)
  2. For Apple Intelligence™ features, check that your device has A17 Pro chip or newer and iOS 26.0+
  3. Try force-quitting and reopening the app
  4. Restart your device

No Health Data Showing

  1. Open Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices
  2. Select HealthAI+
  3. Enable the health data types you want to share
  4. Make sure you have health data in the Health app
  5. Try pulling down to refresh in HealthAI+

AI Insights Not Working

  1. For Apple Intelligence™: Verify your device has A17 Pro chip or newer and iOS 26.0+
  2. For Groq AI (older devices): Ensure you have an internet connection
  3. Ensure you've granted HealthKit permissions
  4. Make sure you have health data to analyze
  5. Wait a few moments for AI processing to complete
  6. Try pulling down to refresh the dashboard

App Crashes or Freezes

  1. Force-quit the app and reopen
  2. Restart your device
  3. Make sure you have enough storage space
  4. Update to the latest iOS version
  5. Contact support with crash details if issues persist
